HISTORY OF FORMATION AND DEVELOPMENT: 

1956: Textile Department was established in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering – Metallurgy, Hanoi University of Technology. 

1963 - 1966: Textile Department was in the Faculty of Manufacturing Technology, Hanoi University of Technology. 

1967 - 1976: The Faculty of Mechanics – Textile in the University of Light Industry was established on the basis of Textile Department, Hanoi University of Technology. 

1977 – 1987: Textile Engineering Department in the Faculty of Textile, Hanoi University of Technology. 

1987 – 1991: Textile Department in the Faculty of Mechanics - Energy - Textile 

1991 - 2011: Textile Technology Department in the Faculty of Textile - Garment Technology and Fashion Design, Hanoi University of Technology. 

Since 2011: Textile Technology Department in the School of Textile - Leather & Fashion, Hanoi University of Science and Technology. 

Currently, the academic staff inculdes 09 lecturers (03 Associate Professors; 06 Doctors) and 01 technical assistant with Master degree. 

Since founded the department, we have contributed to the education of more than 2000 Engineers, hundreds of Masters and Doctors for the Textile industry and many other fields.
