- Research on new textile materials, technical textile materials, textile materials with special properties (fire retardant, antibacterial…)

- Research on the microstructure of textile fibers and their relationship to physico-mechanical properties as well as technological properties of textile materials (cotton, polyester, viscose, polyamide...)

- Research on ecological properties of textile and footwear materials

- Research on environmental treatment of textile dyeing wastewater and application of clean production in the textile and garment production process.

- Research on the finising technologies for the function of fiber, fabric and clothing (free-winkle, flame-retardant, antibacterial...)

- Application of information technology and automation technology in the textile and footwear production.

- Research on optimization of dyeing and finishing technology for textile and footwear industry.
