Established in 1956, the successor of the Textile Technology Department, School of Textile - Leather and Fashion (STLF) has been constantly developing and growing. Currently, the STLF is continuing to strengthen facilities to serve teaching, training and scientific research. All departments have offices and laboratories under the department. Since 2011, STLF has established the Textile – Leather Materials Testing Center with new and modern equipment to well serve the teaching and scientific research of staff, students, master students, and PhD students.

In 2016, the STLF was invested by the University for the Applied Informatics lab with 1 server and 32 high-configuration computers, meeting the requirements for the STLF's teaching disciplines. In 2019, the STLF was invested by the Government to upgrade the Textile Materials Laboratory under the Textile – Leather Materials Testing Center.
